Swimming
This term we have been learning to swim at the Panmure Lagoon pools. We learnt how how to be safe in the water and how to save drowning people. We also learnt how to call for help if we are drowning.

Trip to the zoo
Today we went to the zoo. It was very interesting to learn about how animals are endangered because some people try to kill them for getting their horns, ivory or hides.

Tongan language week
We celebrated Tongan language week. We dressed up in our traditional Tongan clothes. We had a big assembly and had Tongan kia.
Hobby - Inventions
We in Room 6, love to build electrical gadgets and their hobby is to use wires and batteries to create something interesting. When Mrs. Kelly saw us learning about electricity, she got us some' brain boxes'. We tried making circuits to make a moving car and a fan.

Vocabulary
Today we learnt to use better words for simple words. We discussed how instead of the word 'said' we could use words like ' exclaimed, shouted, whispered' etc. We then brainstormed all the words that we could think for time, people, feelings, good and said. next we displayed them on the wall so we could use them in our writing.

Trip to MOTAT
This week we went to a trip to MOTAT. We learnt how toys from the olden days. It was fun playing with them.
